SBD week 2, phase 1

Today was my official weigh in for the second week of phase 1. I lost of total of 13 pounds on the nose during phase 1! This weekend I splurged a bit and had some whole wheat pasta (a phase 2 item) and a bit of red wine (also a phase 2 item). Obviously I didn't loose as much this week as I did in the first week, but that it totally OK!!! Slow and steady wins the race and I am really happy on this diet. I love not counting "points" and eating to satisfaction as long as I am eating SBD friendly foods. It is great going to a restaurant and ordering right off the menu. I am also getting creative with my foods and trying out some new recipes. Now I am entering phase 2 this week. Gradually adding some "good carbs" back into my diet. I can have 1 serving of whole grain carbs or fruit per day. We will see how it goes... hopefully my weight will result in a negative at the end of the week again!

So is phase 1 used to kick start your weight lose and phase 2 is used until you reach your goal weight and phase 3 is to maintain? Is that right?? You are doing great!! I need to start doing this.

Yep! You got it! The book says to expect loosing 8-13 pounds in the 1st 2 weeks (phase 1) and then loosing 1-2 pounds per week during phase 2. Phase 3 is just maintaining your goal weight. At any time if you put on a few pounds you go back to phase 1 just long enough to loose what you put on and then move back into the appropriate phase that you were in before the weight gain.
